I hope this helps! Hello ajaypande. I have a 2-yr-old Macbook Air intel based and another much older PC laptop. The blur option is available in the latter and I can’t get it on the Macbook no matter what I do. I can understand what I’m missing and it’s a little annoying. I have the same Macbook Air Intel Core i5 2 cores I have downloaded new app and new apple software and still no luck.
Any suggestions Zoom? Is this not supported? Zoom client version 5. Ah I’m not alone! Same, other virtual background all work but I have no “blur” option! Everything is updated!
I also have a Mac Air with 1. Same problem with a macbook pro, everything is updated macOs Monterey I’m facing the same. I have a Dell – Windows 11Pro. Same problem with a Macbook Air, everything is updated macOs Monterey I am also looking for this feature in my PC because I feel much awkward to show the background of my room so just looking to hide it a little more please help me to do it.
Hi ajaypande jdott16 is correct you must have those device specifications. I think this meets the specifications, but still no blur option on my Mac Air. This is not user friendly at all. I don’t have blur and have the latest Zoom and latest MAC software update. I even restarted the program and nothing. There is no blur. I cannot believe this fiasco! So many having the same issue as me and not a peep out of Zoom who has been touting their newest feature which doesn’t work!
I screwed around for half an hour on my Windows 10 bit machine, and all of a sudden, a pop-up, I installed it, and there it was! But I have no idea can you get zoom on asus laptop – none: I did to invoke it. Thereafter, I have been trying to find this patch, to no avail. Time to move on to some other software. I as well am not able to see a blur option on my virtual backgrounds menu on my laptop. I have updated Zoom to version 5. Would greatly appreciate any help which could be provided.
Same problem I have downloaded what seems to be the latest version, as no download came with the Pro upgrade. Called support but apparently Pro doesn’t include technical support. Extremely frustrated You can you get zoom on asus laptop – none: not need to can you get zoom on asus laptop – none: a pro account to use “blur background”.
I see that no can you get zoom on asus laptop – none: here has been accepted as a solution for this, so I thought I would weigh in! If you cannot turn off the green screen option for virtual background, then your computer will not be compatible with the blur background feature.
It is however an excellent starting point, and if your hardware is lower than the minimums listed here you will not be able to use “blur background” or “virtual background without a green screen”. Thanks Micah! I do see now the blur option requires a processor of i5 or above and mine is just i3. I don’t know why I didn’t notice that requirement earlier. Anyway, at least I have the explanation now. The processor being an i5 is only half the story, just as how to test audio app none: is how can you get zoom on asus laptop – none: the processor is, how many cores the processor has, and what GPU is paired with it.
If the это can you use the same meeting id and password for zoom присоединяюсь background feature is missing from Zoom, the most likely reason for it aside from needing a software update is that your computer isn’t new enough or powerful enough for it.
I currently have the same issue. No option to blur my background. And Yes I meet all the requirements to blur my background. I do not even have an option key to blur it, so this shows me it is an issue on Zoom’s end.

Solved: Zoom and Windows 11 – Zoom Community. How to Zoom In/Out on a Laptop | Small Business –
I was in touch with Zoom just today and they said Windows 11 does not support a virtual background and I should “work around” on another machine. Not an option and Zoom is no help! Sorry Zoom but this is ridiculous! Especially for paying customers! So I am supposed to downgrade my system for a virtual background? Doesn’t make sense! I thought that it was just the issue of W11 being left off the list of operating systems, but others have said that they have got backgrounds to work.
I can only conclude that the restriction applies to machines with shared display memory, everything else checks out. However features like eyebrow tracking work, which I would think called for more vision processing ingenuity, so maybe Zoom will get around to the background problem one day.
Are you having problems with static image backgrounds or with video backgrounds? I found that I can use static ones but not video. I am using Windows 10, but I wonder if the same thing happens with Windows 11, or if Windows 11 is more restrictive as to the hardware you must have for video backgrounds. I’d be happy with a static image! If I select ‘I have a green screen’ that can be enabled, but all the background clutter shows through. In all such cases, such as the ‘upgrade to W11’ test, there should be a ‘I accept that my system might cause problems’ button should force a pass to the test.
Friend has an Asus windows 10 laptop with the and gets the message saying the specs are not up to it.
Which suggests Zoom perhaps do not recognise it, even though it’s better than previous gen i3’s that they allow.. I don’t understand why they would have that requirement, when there is no similar requirement for Intel processors.
I am having the same issues and I have the same processor.. So it means we can’t use background for now then? Actually, it seems to be more complicated. I downgraded to Windows 10 and I am still having the same problem. And with another computer, a desktop with an Intel processor, Core i7, 4 cores, 3. Something is wrong with Zoom.
I suspect that the problem is the shared video memory. It is interesting that the face recognition features, like party hat and eyebrows, do not seem to need that video memory. Perhaps background recognition will catch up soon. Incidentally, last year their were party features like Christmas hats and antlers. I wonder when they will appear! I think I know why the Core i7, 3. They want 6th generation or higher. Mine is 3rd generation, while the Core i5, 2. Yet I am surprised that the filter gizmos like reindeer antlers can work when backgrounds do not.
There is even something to paint on lipstick! Maybe Zoom could add another filter to insert false teeth! Zoom Community.
