Embedding the password means your attendees don’t have to enter the password to join the meeting manually – so more secure for you and still really easy for your attendees to join!

If you don’t embed a password, your attendees will have to enter the password manually. Manually entering a password can cause confusion and delays for your attendees trying to join the meeting in some cases. If you share this link with your meeting attendees and they click the link to enter the meeting, they will not be required to enter a zoom password.

If you have previously shared an embed link with attendees, they can continue to use that old link. However, if you just shared your zoom room number, they will require a zoom password.

When you create a new meeting, a Passcode will be embedded into the meeting link automatically unless you have specifically disabled this feature. With a single click, your meeting participants can join the meeting. If someone manually enters the Meeting ID, they will also need to manually enter the Passcode.

If joining by phone or Meeting ID, users will need to know the Passcode to your meeting. A participant dialing in will not be required to enter the passcode unless that feature is turned on by the host. Zoom does not require a strong passcode.
